Skin-Reducing Mastectomy and Immediate Reconstruction for a Large Recurrent Borderline Phyllodes Tumor

Background: Large recurrent phyllodes breast tumors are often malignant. Therefore, when taking the surgical decision, a simple mastectomy and immediate reconstruction must be considered. Case presentation: The patient, aged 40 years, with benign tumor in left breast, having recurrence 2 years after, 4–7 cm conglomerate masses, was subjected to skin-reducing mastectomy, silicone mammary implant symmetrization of right breast. Discussion conclusions: In case patients hypertrophy gigantomastia (cup size D–F), an can option. It is important for resection specimen include skin tissue above tumor. After 14 months follow-up, there no lesions on clinical examination, ultrasonography, or MRI.
